You're truly spoilt for choice in terms of things to do, and food and drink is at the heart of Fallowfield. Yes you'll find all the popular chain named restaurants including Nando's, Dominos, and McDonald's, but Fallowfield's charm comes from its independent cafes and restaurants.

To name just a few that are famous in the Fallowfield area: Fuzion Noodle Bar, Chesters Chicken Manchester, Fireaway Designer Pizza, 256 Wilmslow Road, HAUS Fallowfield, Burger & Co, H.Q., Tzatziki's, and YoYo Noodle. That's just to get you started.

In Fallowfield, you're also very close to Manchester's famous curry mile. The curry mile is actually in Rusholme. Here you'll find an abundance of curry houses, eastern and arabic inspired restaurants. Takeaways and shisha bars aplenty. Mughli is one of the longest standing Indian restaurants on the curry mile, which is absolutely worth a visit.

After visiting Fallowfield's amazing eateries, you should probably exercise, or at least take a walk! Platt Fields Park is a 90-acre park and one of the best green spaces in Manchester. The park has a rich history, and is known as ‘a victory of people over profit’ as the park was built in 1910, by the Manchester Corporation after the public won a campaign to save the land from developers. Platt Fields Park is a fantastic place for picnics, and to meet your new course mates and neighbours. There's also a boating lake, a skateboarding park, and basketball courts.
