(Monday to Friday daytime during university term).
A lot is going on in Withington. One of the area's highlights is Ladybarn Park, an outdoor gym & play area with a skate park and both tennis and basketball courts. It's the perfect spot for a morning run or an evening picnic. Withington Baths & Leisure Centre is also a great place to stay active, and meet new people. The community fitness centre is in a restored Edwardian baths building. Here you'll find a pool, gym, sauna & two fitness studios.
The food and drink scene in Withington is strong, boasting a host of great places to eat. The Herbivorous Vegan offers exciting, modern vegan comfort food. Libertine is an 'urban sanctuary' in the old District Bank building, which is a Grade II listed building. Shakedown gives you a different option, as it's a laid-back American eatery, serving burgers, fries & shakes. After a good meal, why not try Biskits? Biskits is a luxury dessert store serving desserts, gelato and pick-n-mix. The Red Lion, and Orion, are also two pubs you can visit to finish off your night, or visit any time for that matter!
