Where’s The Best Pizza Place In And Around Manchester?
Like everyone else we’ve been digging into Manchester’s thriving pizza scene for years. There’s crispy, thin-crust Neapolitan, and deep-dish cheese-laden creations, we’ve tasted it all and here’s a roundup of our favourite spots for a slice.
Crazy Pedro's - Northern Quarter & Spinningfields
Want a simple slice of margherita? Or a slice topped with hot dogs, burgers and waffles? Then Crazy Pedros is the place to be. This part time pizza restaurant, part time tequila bar is open 7 days a week serving up cheap drinks and pizza slices for just £3 in their happy hour Sunday to Friday 5-10pm, so you can try as many different toppings as your heart (or bank account) desires! Offering two locations in the city centre you have no excuse not to try the craziness at crazy peds!
Double Zero - Chorlton/City Centre.
Starting as a cosy restaurant in Chorlton, Double Zero offers homemade Neapolitan pizza specially made on sourdough bread. Offering a wide menu of choices and a delicious selection of dips for all those left over chewy crusts. You can also BYOB, so go grab a bottle of wine or some cold beers and liven it up. They have now also opened a Spring Gardens restaurant for those of you closer to the city centre.
Rudy's - Ancoats, Piccadilly Gardens, Peter St, Chorlton & Didsbury
If you're ever in any pizza doubt, Rudy's is the answer. Starting off as a small independent pop-up, to now having numerous locations across the city, Rudy's has most definitely become a go-to for the people of Manchester. Offering Neapolitan style pizzas that melt in your mouth, it’s most definitely worth the hype. And it doesn't break the bank either, cheers!
Ramona - Northern Quarter
Fancy sitting by a warm camp fire, eating Detroit style pizzas and drinking £6 margaritas? Ramona offers just that. Based in a prime location in Manchester's Northern Quarter, this unique pizza restaurant offering live music and events is the perfect place to catch up with friends and enjoy their signature rectangle pizza slices. While you're there, why not pair them with their famous tater tots? Be sure to head down on their happy hour to bag yourself a slice of margs for only £1.25.
American Pies - Cutting Room Square Ancoats
If you're heading down to American Pies, be sure to bring your appetite! This place knows the true meaning of deep dish. Their Chicago style pizza, featuring silly amounts of cheesy goodness and a garlic butter crust, will definitely fulfil all those pizza cravings you may have. They have recently opened a new bigger restaurant in Ancoats as the people of Manchester have truly gone crazy for the pies. I mean who can blame them.
Franco Manca - Piccadilly Gardens & Didsbury
Oven baked bliss. If you're a Neapolitan style pizza lover, Franco Manca offers the full Neapolitan experience. With Restaurants located in Piccadilly Gardens and Didsbury, these delightful pizzas let their ingredients speak for themselves. With Gluten free and Vegan options available, there is something for everyone. Grab a pizza and a soft drink for £12 12-4pm Monday to Friday.
Nells - Common Northern Quarter, Beagle Chorlton & Kampus
