Best Jobs & Side Hustles For Students

Hospitality

Providing a service is part and parcel of business, no matter what organisation you choose. Hospitality is a very common sector for students to get into, and gives you valuable experience interacting with interested customers. You can find vacancies for these jobs in bars, cafés, restaurants, clubs, hotels and more. It’s also a fantastic option as they don’t require a hefty CV; just good manners and a positive attitude to work.

Brand Ambassador

An easy and reliable way to earn money is to become a brand ambassador for companies who’s target audience is students. They offer set prices for posting and promoting their brand, preferring Instagram or Tiktok as the platforms. Attending university, a lot of students will follow you so this is a direct communication channel to their market and you can do this for multiple companies.

Tutoring

Sometimes, you might feel you can do a better job of teaching than your lecturers do. Why not prove it? I’m sure there are a couple of subjects you did well in, and have an interest for. Furthermore, being in education yourself, you also have recent first hand experience of examinations and studying. If it suits you, why not offer tutoring? Helping those younger through their SATs, GCSEs and even A Levels can feel very rewarding, and also it pays well per hour.

Social Media Marketing

Instead of promoting brands on your personal account, why not dive into the technical and more well paying side of social media. Most companies have these platforms now, but don’t utilise it to it’s full potential. That’s where you come in. For a few hours work every couple of days, you can run their accounts by creating various pieces of content and earn in the process. Best of luck!
